While some weekends seem to drag on and be tediously boring, others are packed full of fun things to do. This weekend of January 31- February 1 is one of those weekends that is packed full of things to do. From the Winter Formal dance to the Super Bowl, there are tons of activities that will keep you busy this weekend. Here are some short descriptions of things going on this weekend:
- Winter Formal
Winter Formal may just seem like another boring old dance that will seem to drag on for a long time, but there are only so many school dances a person can attend. So, if you are thinking about ducking out on this years Winter Formal, think again. If you aren’t one who likes to dance, then set up something before the dance with your friends. Often times the things that go on before the dance can be more fun than the dance itself. Here are just a couple of things you can do: have dinner at someone’s house (there’s nothing better than a home cooked meal); go to a restaurant where you can wear your fancy clothes; go lazer tagging. There are a bunch of places that would gladly except dressed up teens. However, if you don’t want to stray far from school, Wild Ginger is a great place to go. It’s only a couple blocks away from the school and has wonderful food options. So remember that even if you’re an upperclassmen, you’re not too cool for Winter Formal, and who doesn’t like dressing up in fancy clothes every once in a while?
- Super Bowl
It’s Super Bowl weekend everyone! Whether you are a football fan or just like to watch the commercials, the Super Bowl is a great way to bond with friends and family. A great way to spend your Sunday would be to throw a Super Bowl Party. Between eating snack food for dinner and enjoying the company of your friends, what could be better than a Super Bowl Party? - Sydney Sayles Museum Theater Show
Before Winter Formal on Saturday, visit the History Colorado Center for a show about a salesman in the town of Keota in the 1920’s who sells his brand of healing elixirs to uninformed customers. The show is general admission and is from 11:00AM- 4:00PM.
So, this weekend, take advantage of all the great things going on and take a break from homework to have some fun!
