LHS TSA qualifies 16 members for nationals

February 19, 20, and 21 the LHS TSA team participated in the state competition, and did remarkably well. The absence of the 12 seniors from last years team definitely impacted the competitors at state this year, however TSA was still able to achieve highly, mirroring the results of the last two or three state competitions.

“It went really well! We won first place in a couple of events and quite a few second and third place finishes. I actually got first place for this pin design. It will be used for all Colorado TSA members at nationals,” said junior Sophie Engeman.

From first time competitors to seasoned TSA veterans, state is always an amazing experience.

“I’m really glad I got to do it. It’s so much fun,” said Zavier Hose.

All participants that placed either first, second or third got their tickets punched for nationals later this spring. Sixteen participants qualified for nationals from LHS. We hope to see them win some national awards in the coming months.
