LHS Boys Tennis Plays Tough Match Against Valor

Thursday September 17, LHS boys tennis played a tough match against Valor High School. The school has done well so far this season, having a record of five and one.

Some of the closest matches of the afternoon were played by one singles players Jake Anderson and three singles player Michael Craig. Anderson lost his first set, but came back to win the second getting him in a third set, he fought hard but couldn’t quite pull off the win. Craig won his first set but lost the second 5-7. In the third Craig got four games but lost with an ending score of 4-6.

“The match was good, it was a really tough match against Valor, it ended in a tie break, so it could have gone worse but it could have gone better,” said one doubles player Ethan Holler.

The season is going well for the team, having numerous wins but the team is also working on improving for when they face harder teams within their region.

“We have some tough teams ahead of us already, but we are improving,” said Holler.

The team has their next game Tuesday September 22 against Alameda High School. The team will also play in their annual Littleton Invitational Friday September 25 and Saturday September 26.
