Lana Del Rey releases “Honeymoon”

Today, Lana Del Rey released her new album titled “Honeymoon”. “Honeymoon” sticks with the similar sound that have been consistent within Del Rey’s past three albums, entitled “Born to Die”, “Paradise” and “Ultraviolence”.

The entire album has the same sleepy, dreamy, slow sound as her past three albums. Every song on the album also becomes a bit repetitive not only because of the reoccurring style, but also because every song on the album discusses the same things Del Rey has always written about- heartbreak, love and tragedy.

Because the album is both repetitive in style and in theme, I think the album lacks complexity and is not refreshing for her audience. Despite this, Del Rey still proves she has a beautiful voice, which makes the album worth listening to.
