On Wednesday, April 20 the NHS students partook in another Project CURE assignment. The team went to sort donated medical supplies.
“We sorted boxes of supplies donated by community medical centers based on each item’s name and function,” said senior Kevin Vick.
After, when they had collected enough materials of each specific item, they gathered them into boxes to prepare them to be shipped. The labor wasn’t very intense or difficult, but the kids still felt like they were making a positive contribution to the community.
“The work was slow and manual, but seemed very tangible. I felt very productive,” said Vick.
As the end of the year comes to a close, this assignment served as majority of the students’ final NHS project, and they couldn’t have felt more relieved and content with everything they have accomplished this year.
