Wednesday afternoon boys tennis faced a defeat to Evergreen high school after a tough fight. The final match score was 2-5.
Many of the matches were very close going to three sets.
“The first set was good, but the second set we kind of lost it, didn’t pull through, and were missing our shots” said two doubles player Paul Shiebel.
The two winning matchers were also close. The three singles match played by Ben Morris went to three sets. Morris managed to win the first set, but was defeated in the second. Morris then managed to fight hard and bring it back to win the third set and win. The other match win of the afternoon was by Zach Fox at two doubles.
So far the season has been going well for the team with an even win and loss record.
“We have been doing pretty well, before today we were two and one overall which is pretty good” said Scheibel.
The next match of the season for the team will be Friday September 9 at Golden High School.
