This afternoon, boys’ tennis faced Arvada West and came out on top, 5-2. The teams battled in the heat, and many of the matches were settled in the third set. Arvada West was a good challenge for LHS players looking to improve their strokes.
“We were having our ups and downs today, but we played hard. We need to work on our consistency. We’ll have good shots, but then we won’t make our next ones,” said sophomore Paul Scheibel.
The team hopes to continue to do well throughout September and play in regionals, later on in the season. This was especially a great match because it gave the team more confidence and spirit going into their next match against Valor Christian.
