What to do this weekend

Homecoming is at the forefront of everyone’s mind this week, and we have been treated to lots of fun activities despite the busy school days. But, even with the festivities of Homecoming, everyone is grateful for the weekend. With whatever free time you can get this weekend, here are some fun activities to add some variety and fall spirit to your Homecoming weekend.

Homecoming Dance

Tomorrow evening from 8-11 is the Homecoming dance. Take some friends, or a date, and go dance the night away.

Asylum Haunted House

If you are in the Halloween spirit already, The Asylum Haunted House opens tomorrow. It will stay open through November, but now is the time to visit on opening weekend. The general admission tickets start at $27.

The Great Pumpkin Festival

The Great Pumpkin Festival is also happening this weekend in Littleton on Saturday. The festival will be held at Jared’s Nursery Gift and Garden Center. This is the 11th annual festival. This is a family friendly event! Activities include the 100 foot pumpkin drop, the half-ton pumpkin weigh off, food, a straw maze, and live music. This event will take place from 2-5 p.m. tomorrow.

Centennial Chalk Art Festival

On Saturday and Sunday local artists will convene at Centennial Center Park to create masterpieces on the pavement. Come and watch as artists work their magic and enjoy live music and food trucks for free admission.  This event will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..
