Every Thursday afternoon, the LHS Culinary Club is busy at work, cooking food for themselves and working with the community through their cooking. LHS’s FCCLA club realized their passions were driven towards the culinary aspects of their events and decided to be turned into a culinary club.
“In culinary club we work with the community through cooking” said president Rachel Wainer.
Last Thursday, the club made some delicious peanut butter fudge to enjoy for themselves. Other days, they are focused on activities they are doing in the community and ways they can give back.
“We work with the community doing bake sales, food drives and more,” said Wainer.
President Wainer reflected that she joined the club because of the welcoming and open community and hopes that more people will join culinary club.
“Just come on in and hopefully you’ll like cooking,” said Wainer.
