LHS Poms Shows Lion Pride at League tournament

The Littleton High School Poms placed 4th out of 5 in the League competition at Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs on Saturday, November 12. The 10 girls competed against Palmer Ridge, Lewis Palmer, as well as Douglas and Pueblo Counties.

The routine, to the beat of ‘Me too’ by Megan Trainor, was choreographed specifically for the competition and practiced for several weeks by the LHS performers.

“It took it a while to get it completely perfect and it is very exhausting.” said Junior Genny Ray.

Some of the moves in that routine included a straddle jump in the air (called a toe touch), a kick line (where everyone gets in a line and kicks) and a dance move called toures, a turn sequence.

With the Poms Competitive season ending after the State meet on December 10, the LHS Basketball team will have the pleasure of having the Poms cheer for them.

“The main thing I love about Poms is my teammates. Everyone is supportive of one another and we’re all really close.” said Carien Hoogwater, an LHS sophomore.
