Art students offer free henna tattoos

In honor of international week, LHS art students offered free henna tattoos for anyone who wanted them on Thursday and Friday.

Henna is a type of Indian ink that is made from the powder of different leaves and flowers. It has many different uses, but one of the bigger ones is for temporary tattooing.

To show artsy spirit for international week, art students set up a small area in art room 1218, where students could come in and give themselves a henna tattoo.

Students could create their own design for the tattoo, or there were examples of traditional henna for the students to copy off of.

Seeing as the henna was such a hit among the students, hopefully they’ll bring it back next year.
