Littleton Athletic Director is honored with award

Last week, the athletic director of Littleton, Preston Davis was awarded 4A Jeffco League Athletic Director of the year.

Davis was nominated by The League Athletic Directors who provide nominations to the Jeffco committee. These nominations  outline what the nominee has contributed to the Jeffco League and how they represent the Jeffco League during CHSAA (Colorado High School Activities Association) events.

To Davis, this is a big honor. His hard work and dedication for Littleton has paid off.

“This award means the Athletic Directors I directly work with respect, value and trust my voice.” said Davis

Davis has worked as an athletic director for 4 years, 2 of those years were spent at Littleton. His job as an athletic director has provided him with many good and worthwhile experiences that makes his job worth it.

“I enjoy watching the athletes and coaches perform on game day. I understand all the hard work and sacrifice needed to prepare for competition, when the preparation comes together it puts a smile on my face.” said Davis

But the job doesn’t come without challenges. Davis has had to work hard to ensure that the athletics of the school runs as efficiently and smoothly as possible.

“The most challenging aspect for me is the daily balancing act. As the Athletic Director, it is important every detail for every sport be perfect.” said Davis

The Littleton athletic department wouldn’t be as successful as it is today without Davis.

Congratulations Mr. Davis.
