JV girls swim finishes season strong at B league

On Saturday, January 28, the girls JV swim team ended their season with a strong performance at the Jeffco JV Invite in Arvada. This league meet was a great time for the girls as they were very happy with their performance, even with a smaller team than the other schools. Many girls even achieved their best time of the season and personal records.

“I feel super good about my events because I cut seconds off on every event I swam. I broke my personal record by two seconds in my favorite event, so it feels very rewarding for the end of the season meet,” said sophomore Meghan Thomas.

The swimmers had a strong showing overall, particularly sophomore Rose Kelly who finished tenth in the 100 free while the 200 free relay team also nabbed tenth place.

“I had a blast swimming for Littleton this year. The other girls are super entertaining even on nights where it was hard to get in the water for practice and it was a really fun season and I loved it!” said Thomas.

The team is very proud of all their accomplishments over this season and is excited to cheer on the varsity Lady Lionfish at A league this upcoming Friday and Saturday as well as those heading to State in a few weeks.
