On Saturday, February 12 the Shades of Blue workshop was held again, informing the students about engineering and gearing the students towards a STEM related career.
The workshop welcomed kids ranging from 7th-12th grade students who are interested or want to learn more about what it takes to pursue a career related to engineering. The workshop also serves as a great way to get some of the 100 required STEM hours.
At the workshop, the students were informed about the many job opportunities are under engineering and the type of schooling is required in order to follow each field.
Though the Shades of Blue workshop focuses primarily on the engineering part of STEM within LHS, the community welcomes the workshop to learn more about the other aspects of STEM, including science, math and technology.
The Shades of Blue workshops are held from 10am-12pm on Saturdays.
