The ultimate Whatsapp review

Many have not heard of this app, but it has been around since 2009 and finally went big in 2014. WhatsApp’s co-creators Brian Acton and Jan Koum originally worked at Yahoo, but then they created WhatsApp to sound like ‘Whats up’, as well as continue their technical career.

WhatsApp is different because it allows you to communicate with friends abroad in different countries with no fee. Any other texting/calling app would require you to pay a large fee over time. WhatsApp is all over many other social media outlets such as Twitter and Facebook.

However WhatsApp has been accused of being to much like Snap Chat by adding the ‘WhatsApp Story’ feature. This does have some Snap Chat fans angered even though this update has not caused any technical problems as of yet. This app is very useful and is very similar to the imessage app that comes standard with your iPhone.

WhatsApp was acquired for 19 billion dollars by Facebook, and has been Facebook’s largest acquisition to date. This app has also been denied to older model phones such as Blackberry, and older versions of Android. For new phones and computers such as Macs and Windows the app is in full use.

Some popular features of the app include the chats page as well as all the contacts from you phone, and a favorites page to invite friends and see their status on WhatsApp.

You need to check out this app because more and more people are using it everyday, and as of February 2016, WhatsApp had over 1 billion users globally. Try it and see for yourself.
