A classic… but better

What’s better than a chocolate chip cookie? Not much. While the recipe on the back of the Nestle chocolate chip bag is definitely a staple, the recipe can be improved. Often times when making cookies a number of things can go wrong. They can turn out too flat, too big or too dense.

However, you will never have to worry about those problems again. This chocolate chip cookie recipe is fool proof and makes the perfect cookies every time. Both baking soda and powder is used which ensures that the cookies are never flat. The perfect amount of chocolate chips are in the dough to give the perfect ratio.

These cookies are a classic treat that will brighten up any day. They are a great after school snack or bedtime binge. No matter the time of day, you can never go wrong with a classic chocolate chip cookie!


4 1/4 cups of flour

1 teaspoon of baking powder and baking soda

A pinch of salt

1 1/2 cups of butter (three sticks) softened

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1 1/4 cups brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tablespoon of vanilla

1 bag of chocolate chips


Mix all of the dry ingredients. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and sugars and later add the eggs and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 375 degrees.
