A new take on the Archie Comics

A new show hit CW and it’s based off the Archie Comics from the 1940’s. Riverdale is a new show following the lives of Archie Andrews (KJ Apa), Jughead Jones (Cole Sprouse), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinheart), and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes). The show is based around the murder of football player Jason Blossom, and all of the teenagers are trying to find out who killed him.

A lot of shows on TV now are all fairly similar to each other, but Riverdale has proven itself to be far from anything normal. It’s a show for any one to watch, and includes elements from nearly every genre of TV show out there. There’s a little bit of horror, comedy, thrill, and even some romance. The plot of the show is exciting, and far from predictable, and easy to follow, making it interesting and entertaining.

While this is only the first season of the show, I certainly hope it isn’t the last. For me, the characters are lovable, and a huge reason of why I love the show so much. I would recommend it to any one looking for something new to watch.

Riverdale airs every Thursday on CW.
