Easy morning recipe for overnight oats

As high school students, our mornings are always rushed. It is hard to drag ourselves out of bed in the morning, so often times breakfast gets overlooked. However, breakfast is the most important meal of the day and you need it to keep yourself moving throughout the school day. This is an easy recipe for delicious overnight oats that you can quickly through together the night before, so in the morning you can just grab it on your way out the door!

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Optional: apples, berries, nuts, dried fruit, peanut butter, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, bananas (anything you want to add for a little more flavor)

That’s it! This recipe is so versatile that you can hand tailor it to your liking. It is healthy meal that is very filling and won’t leave you wanting for more sugary breakfast foods like donuts or pastries.
