Football shows grit in tough game against Golden

Last Thursday night, the football team took a hard loss as they faced the Golden High School Demons. In the second game of the season, the Lions lost 0 to 49.

Golden pushed ahead in the first quarter with three touchdowns. However, the Lions managed to work the ball down field at the start of the 2nd quarter and got two 1st downs in a row.

The Demons were able to score two touchdowns in the 2nd quarter, leaving the score at 0 to 35 at the start of the 3rd quarter.

After two more Golden touchdowns in the 3rd, the Lions hadn’t given up. The Littleton defense put up a good fight, allowing them to hold off Golden’s offense for the majority of the 4th quarter.

Despite the score, there was no lack of spirit from the crowd. Students came dressed for the white out theme. The crowd kept cheering and had fun, no matter the score. The LHS cheerleaders, poms and band led the student section in cheers to support their team.

We know the Littleton football team will continue to work hard in preparation for their homecoming game this Friday, September 15th, against Kennedy High School. We can be sure that once again, LHS students will come with spirit and support for their home team.
