Colorado has recently experienced some dreary, rainy weather. Indulging in ice cream is probably the furthest thing from your mind, but the weather is clearing up and ice cream is always a good idea.
But I’m not talking about any old ice cream, no. I’m talking about rolled ice cream. A fantastic new invention which you may have seen plastered on Snapchat and Instagram over this past summer. I first discovered this new phenomenon at a farmer’s market and then was elated when Milkroll Creamery opened a shop at 3500 E Colfax Ave in Denver.
It is a little bit of a drive and would not be a smart idea to check out during lunch, but it is definitely worth the trip. The workers actually roll the ice cream-pretty mind blowing. They then decorate it with an assortment of cute candy/other toppings. There are many flavors and combinations, so the options are endless. It also makes for a great artsy photo opportunity, and I highly recommend it.
