Sunday afternoon, Key Club headed out to nearby neighborhoods to collect canned food and other non-perishable food items for the LHS community. Social worker Josh Hahn will be using the items collected to put together Thanksgiving baskets for LHS students and families in need.
“This was one of the most fun service projects I’ve been involved in. Dressing up and collecting food on this beautiful day was really fun and rewarding,” said senior Cailen Wasinger.
This annual event is one of the most popular for Key Club members who donned Halloween costumes and pulled wagons to carry around the food collected. The items filled up an entire car and they will surely all be used this Thanksgiving.
