Students compete in Chatfield Speech and Debate tournament

Saturday, December 2nd, the Littleton Speech and Debate team competed in the Chatfield Tournament.

The tournament was very successful, as many LHS students placed in their events. Sophomore Rebecca Zickerman placed first in Original Oratory, junior Julia Valdez won second in poetry and freshman Alyssa Procopio placed as well in Informative Speaking.  In Humorous Interpretation, sophomore Natalie Parkhurst placed first and freshman Jack Rodgers placed second

“My favorite part about Speech and Debate is being able to work on your piece that you are truly passionate about, and see how all of your hard work will pay off”, said Zickerman.

Littleton will compete again next Saturday at Cherry Creek High School.
