Monday night, the Lions’ unified basketball team played Chatfield in what was an extremely close game. There was lots of cheering and support from both ends. This pushed the players and motivated them for a high scoring game.
Many baskets were made towards the end of the game as LHS fell 91-89. Senior Ruben Valdivia led the team with baskets and between quarters, music played and the poms led different cheers and dances.
“[We did] good. Shooting the baskets was fun,” said junior Max Warren.
The team has had lots of fun and success this season with some highlights including the tri-school tournament against Heritage and Arapahoe and the upcoming senior night celebration.
