Littleton runs circles around competition at League meet

The LHS track team attended the Jeffco 4A/5A League Meet that went from May 4th to the 5th.

The team placed 7th in the women’s division and 5th in the men’s. With only one more meet before the State competition, the Lions are looking to put in their best times and performances in order to qualify.

“[Our] goal is to get out there and run as fast as we can in order to qualify,” said senior Addi Iken.

The overall performance of the team may have been good but some of the individuals stuck out with stellar PR’s and first place wins. Senior Brittany Line won the shot put event for Littleton and junior Trevor Stutzman won pole vault. Juniors Henry Jackson and Christian Olson were also able to boast impressive PR times in the 1600 meter race. The ability of the Lions to shave seconds off their time shows that even at the latter portion of the season, hard work and determination has not left the team.

As the season winds down and state drawing near, these top notch results are putting Littleton into great position for the biggest meet of the year coming in a couple weeks.
