Boys Basketball Game wins first game of season

At 7:50 p.m last night, the Littleton Lions boys varsity basketball team started their first game of the season against the Colorado Academy Mustangs.

The game started in the hands of hands of number 11 with a 3 pointer made shortly after made by number 3 Kai Burtram. The ball stayed mostly in our Lions’ hands for the rest of the game.

By the end of the second quarter the Lions were leading the Mustangs 30 to 20 and the boys were feeling really good about the lead.

“We are excited! We knew they were a good team coming in, but the guys had worked hard and we had an amazing start,” said Coach Fletcher.

With the game ending with a Lions’ win with a score of 66 to 48, everyone is very excited for the season.

“I think we played really good as a team! Team offense, defense, we did a really nice job of passing the ball around. I think if we stay hungry, play like we did, we could make playoffs!” said Reid Fornstrom.

With a great first game players and student body alike can agree that they are all excited for the rest of the season!
