Girls’ basketball continues in Jungle Jam Tournament

On Friday night, our LHS girls varsity basketball team continued the JeffCo Jungle Jam Tournament after playing Resurrection Christian Wednesday.

Other than Resurrection Christian, Summit and LHS,  the tournament also included Monarch, Regis Groth and D’Evelyn.

“This tournament definitely helps us prepare more for league games to let us know what we’re doing right and wrong, and to hopefully fix those problems in practices before the league games,” said senior J’la Ervin.

In the match-up Friday, the team won with a final score of 49-18.

“I think we really did well in our confidence and we shot the ball pretty well, but one thing we could improve on is talking more on defense and offense,” said sophomore Ashton Haddock.

Haddock, along with junior Susie Puchino and Ervin helped the team stay ahead for the game and secured a win for them at the end of the night.

“I think we’re playing really well for the fifth game of the season, but there are a lot of things we need to work on and get better at as we face better teams later in the season,” said head coach Adam Williams.

The girls play again Saturday, December 8th at D’Evelyn High School.
