Billie Eilish’s new single Bury a Friend gets creepy

As a part of Billie Eilish’s new upcoming album, a single was released called Bury a Friend. She first teased viewers on her youtube channel with a short 17-second video of the new music video and a few days later, released the full music video.

It has now been a month since the song was released, and the video now holds more than 71 million views. It’s of no surprise that her videos and her following continue to grow as people begin to see the potential that she holds as a visual and lyrical artist.

Personally, I think that this has been one of my favorite songs from her because of the creative visual and audio aspects. Down below, is a link where Billie shows how her song came to be.

The thing about Billie is that she does not seem to have a goal because she is always exceeding expectations and using new techniques with her music. Like in this song, where she randomly got the idea of using her name in the beginning and decided she wanted it to be in the voice of one of her good friends. This adds a personal touch to her music as well as originality. Another clever audio sound that she used was one of her very own recordings of a visit from the dentist’s office, where she recorded the sound of the drill and implemented it into her song. Something that only Billie would think of.

Billie draws viewers in with the visuals of her music as well. So far, most of her videos have caught the attention of many due to the creepy and unusual concepts. Like in You should see me in a Crown, where she had multiple spiders crawling all over her face, and even had a tarantula come out of her mouth. This is one of many videos where she was able to make her twisted and unique ideas come to life.

Billie Eilish will be coming to Colorado on June 5 and will be performing at Red Rocks Amphitheater. Yet, if you are not lucky enough to watch her in person, you might find that her new music and videos will be enough to satisfy your needs.
