LHS Film Club movie project

These past few weeks, Film Club has begun working on their new 6-minute mockumentary, ROYGBIZ.  Written by Ty Anderson. The short film will be about a tech startup and employees losing their sanity.

Junior Connor Johnson, the founder and president of the LHS Film Club, is excited for the opportunities this new feature has to offer.

“We want to give our club members more experience.  Our first film was a bit rocky, so we are trying to put more work into this one.  Get better actors, get more equipment, get better talent, just provide a bigger and better experience,”  said Johnson.

LHS film club created their first film earlier this school year, but it wasn’t met with success.  Fortunately, the members of the club kept their heads up.  Recently, the club has been teaching their members more skills and feel better prepared about this next movie.

Johnson said, “We did a bunch of lessons.  We taught and educated our club members about how to do their specific roles and jobs. We are getting better equipment and we’re not on a time crunch this time.”

ROYGBIZ was originally a test script but captured the hearts and imaginations of the film crew.  The short will be about 6 minutes long and include about 10 to 11 people including actors.

People who want to join would still be gladly accepted and brought into the film creation process.

Johnson said, “[The idea to create the club] was mostly just to give people like me, who love film, love making film just a place to talk about with other people in this school because when you are making film it’s expensive.  You don’t have a lot of people doing it.  And it’s hard to organize anything, so this was just something to help bring these people together and give them a place to explore and make stuff.”
