Baseball Senior Night vs Wheat Ridge

The boys varsity baseball team celebrated their Senior Day last Saturday, in style with a resounding 6-0 victory over Wheat Ridge High School. The game, held at Littleton’s home field, was a fitting tribute to the departing seniors who have dedicated years to the sport.

Junior Evan Siler pitched for Littleton High, showcased his talent by pitching the entire game, leading the team to a shutout victory. The game lasted six innings, with Siler’s dominance on the mound keeping Wheat Ridge at bay. His precision pitching and strategic prowess kept the opposing team’s hitters off balance, allowing Littleton to maintain control throughout the game.

Behind the plate, senior catcher Ty Tholen exhibited his defensive ability, skillfully handling Siler’s pitches and thwarting any attempts by Wheat Ridge to advance on the bases. Senior Zack O’Kelley held down first base with finesse, making several key plays to secure outs for the team. Senior Luke Kennedy anchored third base with confidence, while seniors Reilly Reddy, Robby Schiebel, and Reid Kinzie provided valuable support and leadership on the field.

Before the first pitch, each senior player was introduced alongside their families and presented with flowers and a signed baseball. They shared advice for their teammates and heartfelt notes to and from their families. The emotional ceremony continued with photos with coaches and families, culminating in a special moment where each senior threw a baseball to a loved one before posing with their team.

Throughout the game, the seniors remained involved and shared their excitement, particularly Luke Kennedy, who was vocal in praising his fellow teammates, spreading joy and encouragement. Kennedy’s enthusiasm was contagious, lifting the spirits of the entire team and fueling their determination to secure the win.

As a symbolic gesture of camaraderie, the players swapped jerseys and changed some of their walk-out songs, adding to the memorable night.
