Gymnasts Sophia Bradley, Cameron Cunnison, Kalliope Lucas, and Avery Ray are all a part of the gymnastics team that is part of both LHS Heritage High School. Heritage recently hosted an invitational on Saturday, October 12th. Their meets have gone very well so far, and the team has had a lot of fun together! The team competes in League this week, starting with meets at Overland tomorrow and Cherry Creek on Thursday.
Sophia Bradley is a Junior at LHS, and she has really enjoyed the season this year.
Bradley says that her favorite event is the vault, and says, “My best event is definitely vault. It’s definitely my cleanest, and I have the most power and usually score the best on it.”
Her favorite part of high school gymnastics is being able to hang out with a different group of people. “We just have a lot of fun!” she says.
Freshman Avery Ray and Junior Kalliope Lucas say that their best event is bars. Ray loves all of the bonds she created with different people on the team, and she loves being on a team with people from both Heritage and LHS.
We are hoping the best for our aspiring gymnasts, as their season has been very strong!
