September 17th: League
The unified bowling team played their first league meet.
The players had a good posture. The players have good scores, so far the highest right now is 53. The teams switch off after every round. It is very bright at Main Event and there’s lights everywhere. Unified is very nice and everyone is respectful to each other.
At Main Event you can put your face on the big screen with friends and family to see your score with your face. The bowling balls are shiny and colorful.
November 15th: Regionals
The unified bowling team did great. After we got off the bus we went to the bowling lanes. The other teams came after a little while.
A lot of people knew each other. We went against Heritage. I went around and got to talk to the players.
After, we took a group picture of the unified team.
November 22nd: State
The team was enthusiastic about playing. The players played their best.
Claire Ingham had some input on the game too.
She detailed the game starting with the ball.
“The ball was very heavy,” said Ingham. “My ball was green, it is my favorite color.”
When asked if the team was fun, encouraging and supportive, she said they were.
She also thought the clothes were very cool.
“We had bowling shirts, pants, and shoes,” she said.
The team also got custom jackets for going to state.
