National Art Honor Society showcases the undeniable talent of art students

It is no question that the art in the The National Honor Art Society is breathtaking and filled with so much creativity and depth. Every time the art is either displayed in the front lobby on occasion or throughout the hallways the art always catches my eye. The amount of detail put into these moving pieces of art astonishes me every time. In order to get into the National Honor Art Society you have to had taken at least a year of art classes, and 25 hours of visual arts service has to be done each year in order to stay in the society. If you fail to meet these requirements you could be kicked out.

Throughout the year, there are always individual projects and group projects such as illustrating all the IB learner profile traits on the cross beams in the art hallway.

“My artwork is intended more for myself because the meaning behind it is very personal”

If you are thinking about pursuing art in college being in the National Honor Art Society can have its benefits. For example someone can construct a piece of artwork that could land you a scholarship or a spot in a competitive art program.
