The new Wes Anderson movie trailer review

In the 10th Wes Anderson movie, the same actors, same characters, and same aesthetic of every other of his films dominate his upcoming one. Titled, “The French Dispatch”, this trailer looks more Wes Anderson like than a parody of his work possibly could.

Set to come out in summer 2020, the indie film centers around the journalism in a fictional French city. Following three storylines, this trailer has many famous actors saying witty lines that only the mind of Wes Anderson would create.

In terms of the actual plot, this film seems to be comical and well written. With sharp dialogue and quick shots, the well-known style of this director seems to shine in this film.

Wes Anderson’s biggest flaw as a filmmaker is his redundancy. His unique film style is so specific that it is essentially its own category.

The following actors in this film have been in other Wes Anderson films: Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, Edward Norton, Anjelica Houston, and of course Owen Wilson. As if Anderson refuses to cast new actors, it’s clear that his films have the same rhythm and rhyme.

If you are a huge Wes Anderson fan, then you probably already have pre-purchased your tickets. If you are not a huge fan, then this style will probably throw you off. If you don’t know which category you are in, then I would suggest going. It seems to be a quirky movie about old-timey journalism, but I probably won’t be in the theatre.
