On March 10, the Littleton Depot Art Gallery hosted the reception for the IB Studio Art class. This gallery shows different art pieces the students in this class have created over the past year. The show is called Limbo: The Start of Something New with the poster art being illustrated by Lane Greenly.
The five students that were recognized are seniors Harvey Rainwater, Lane Greenly, Georgia Reed, Ruby Secrest, and Ori Bennet. They all hung their own personal artwork and spent the night talking about what their art means to them.

I spent the time talking to the artist, their families, the mayor of Littleton, and other peers about the artwork. It was interesting to see a different perspective from the artists in their emotional pieces that held connection to their lives.
I had conversations with all the artists one on one and they have all been looking forward to this gallery for the past two years since they started the course. They had different pieces displayed along with their portfolios from the past two years of the subject with their brainstorming ideas, drafts, and journal like art entries.

There were many incredible pieces that showed off our Littleton students and how talented they were in their unique ways no matter what their medium of art was if it was drawing, painting, or photography.
The show dates for this gallery continues through the weekend ending on March 13. If you are looking for a weekend activity and want to see the incredible art work of Littleton students, make your way to the Depot Art Gallery. Their hours are Tuesday-Sunday 11-4pm.
