Our own junior, Ian Babcock, has been playing boys volleyball for the past few years. This year, with the new addition of boys volleyball being recognized by CHSAA, Babcock is able to compete while representing our district. Ian Babcock is the only Littleton student playing on the varsity team for the district.
“I have been playing for a really long time and have been putting in a lot of hard work, so it is nice to be recognized, but I feel like I could still be number one,”
Babcock has enjoyed having a sport he has been playing for many years to now be associated as a Littleton team. He gets to establish new relationships with teammates who are also part of our district. Hopefully, this team being shared on the district level will continue to combine our schools for more district-wide activities.
“It is fun to play [volleyball] with people who go to the same school [or district] like you,”
Babcock has enjoyed being able to represent Littleton finally with a sport he has been playing for a big chunk of time.
“I think it’s awesome because it’s a club sport before high school and it is great to see it finally recognized as a school sport in Colorado,”
Go out and support your LPS Boys Volleyball team! Their next home game is on Thursday at 6:30 pm against Cherry Creek.
