For the first time in two years, Littleton High School is having a prom! The date has been announced as well as the location, the Vehicle Vault. This location has been planned for years. And it’s finally happening. Alli Johnson, a senior this year, was the person who thought of the idea in her sophomore year.
A lot of work goes into choosing the prom location. The process begins in the sophomore year. Alli Johnson was given three ideas to choose from.
“The Vehicle Vault was the best for our size of school and also it’s just like a cool space when you go there. And we can do a lot with the space, and it was the cheapest,” said Johnson.
Ms. Zerr, who is one of the sponsors on the Prom committee, told me about other criteria for the venue.
“There’s a certain amount of money that we can spend.” And the sophomore committee was told that as they made their decision. There is also the matter of safety and convenience for the students. “Not too far away so that you guys don’t have to drive really far to get there,” said Ms. Zerr.

Ms. Zerr has seen many venues for prom. There are two very popular locations in the past at LHS.
“The Botanical Gardens is very beautiful and fun and then the Mile High Stadium is really cool, but far away,” said Ms. Zerr.
Every prom location has been unique at this school, and the Vehicle Vault is perfect for this year’s round of juniors and seniors. Although some may initially be opposed, Zerr noted that she is confident in the decision.
“Well, I wasn’t really quite sure until I went and saw it. It’s amazing, it’s going to be beautiful,” and Ms. Zerr isn’t the only one who thinks so. Johnson is also very excited about the unique location.
“There’s a staircase right next to the hallway and it looks very like elegant and so you can take pictures on the stairs,” said Johnson.
It’s been two years since we’ve had a prom, let alone a prom location. Vehicle Vault is a great location.
