Around the same time April came to a close, the After Prom began. At 11:30 last night, the doors of Littleton High School opened and allowed all the prom-goers to enter for a big after-party.
The night began with Das Fuz playing numerous songs in the theater. The attendance for the show started off small but slowly, the seats filled with more students. The band played for about 45 minutes. When they told the crowd they had to leave, the audience called for an encore. The band happily played one more song.
Along the science hallway were many booths. One was a tarot booth that had a long line all night. There was a fake tattoo stand at the end of the hall. And a classroom held a karaoke machine where many students sang renditions of songs. In the North Gym, there were many games as well as two bouncy castles that many students spent their time in.
The cafeteria was filled all night long with hungry students. There were many great snacks and fun drinks to enjoy.
When asked why she came to After Prom Arden Dryburgh said, “I was hungry.”
This was good for her because the cafeteria had candy, popcorn, pizza, and a coffee kiosk.
The hypnotist finished the night off with a great show in the theater. He pulled sixteen students out of the crowd to hypnotize. He then spent the next hour or so, putting the students under his spell. He used sound effects to cause the volunteers to do ridiculous things that had the crowd roaring with laughter. One of the biggest reasons for students to come to the After Prom was the hypnotist.
Sophia Kelly, a senior, said “It just seemed really fun, like the hypnotist seemed really interesting.”
The school was decorated to show off the theme of the party. There were numerous photo places around the hallways for students to pretend they were in other places around the world. There was a giant balloon arch at the front of the school and streamers crossing around the ceiling.
Hailey Daharb, a junior, said that her favorite part was “Probably the decorations. I think they’re super fun.”
This year’s After Prom was a great place for students to hang out before going home for the night. Filled with music, food, games, and fun, this After Prom was the perfect way to end the evening.
