Our Lions varsity football team played a cold game against the Wheat Ridge Farmers last night, literally. With 30° and below weather, snow, and 10 mph winds, the stands still had support from parents, students, and administration to support our Varsity team.
Unfortunately for us Lions, our Varsity football team lost our last home conference game against Wheat Ridge high school by a score of 14-6, leaving our overall record 5-5 with 50% wins.
The Farmers scored 6 points during the first quarter and another 8 during the 4th. The Lions scored their last touchdown of the season during the final quarter.
This year’s football season has been one to remember, school spirit has been flowing through the school win or lose. We thank all of our senior players for making a great addition to our Lions Football team this 2022 Season and we’re proud of all of those who played and even those who supported our Lions in the stands. Even with the weather conditions last night, we still had a pretty good turnout.
In future seasons, we’re hoping to have just as much teamwork and an even better support system from our students at Littleton. Keep showing school spirit and thank you for following us through this football season. Good job Lions!
