Those of you who know me, know that I am the biggest book nerd on the planet. And I take pride in that fact. So I am writing today to recommend some of my favorite books that came out this year, and to get you on the lookout for some new releases. There were three brand new series from this year that really stood out to me.

The Cover of Tides of Mutiny by Rebecca Rode

In third place is Tides of Mutiny by Rebecca Rode. This book is fantastic. Our main character is a strong female role model who sticks to what she believes is right even though so many people disagree. This book kept me guessing for the vast majority of the pages. And it’s full of pirates, deception, and adventure. Tides of Mutiny could be a great stand alone book but Rode left it at a point that she could easily continue the story if she wanted to. This book will make a great addition to anybody who loves pirates and adventure.

The cover of Crown of Bones by A.K. Wilder

In second place, is Crown of Bones, the first book in the Ammasia series by A.K. Wilder. When I finished reading the prologue I immediately knew that this was a series that could go very far. It sucked me in immediately and even months after having finished it, the story still hasn’t let me go. From its ensemble cast to the immersive plot, this book sweeps readers in and forever. Crown of Bones is full of rich fantasy elements that are unique and make the world very engaging. The story follows three points of view. Ash, the main character. Marcus, Ash’s best friend and the heir of his country. And Kaylin, a mysterious sailor whose side I still can’t figure out. Overall this was a great debut novel and I can’t wait to get my hands on the sequel in June of 2022.

The cover of Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard

My top favorite new book of the year is Realm Breaker by Victoria Aveyard. Those of you who know Victoria Aveyard, know that all of her books are fantastic and Realm Breaker is no different. The main character Corayne is hidden away by her nefarious mother but she wants to go on her own adventure. Her opportunity comes when an immortal named Dom comes into her village and tells her something that will change her life forever. The cast of character have never met each other before and yet each of them plays an important role in the intricately developed plot. Aveyard has two more books planned for this amazing series and I encourage you all to check it out.

We have three months left in the 2021 calendar year and there is still so many books that are scheduled to be released. The finale of The Shattered Crown by Maxym Martineau is scheduled for release on December 1. And my most anticipated release of the year, Aurora’s End will be released on November 9. It’s the third and final book of the Aurora Cycle. Keep an eye out for all of these books. They will change your lives!
