Boys’ Swim and Dive defeats Golden at first meet of the season

This past Saturday, the Littleton Boys’ Swim and Dive team took on the Golden High School Demons at Littleton’s pool, defeating them 103-63. 

All three A relays of the 200 Medley, 200 freestyle, and 400 freestyle took first place. Individual event wins include sophomore Ryan Newton in the 200 Individual Medley, freshman Caden Luther in the 50 freestyle, junior Aiden Ricenbaw in the 100 butterfly, and junior Kieran Luther in the 500 freestyle.

On top of our many event wins, the team also had many state qualifiers at their first meet of the season. Congrats to K. Luther,  C. Luther, Newton, Ricenbaw, Brennan Williams, Austin Hughes, and Luke Morris for qualifying!

Newton is excited for the possibilities that the team has in store.

“I am really excited. We have a really good team this year in terms of depth, so I think we have a really good chance of doing really well in the postseason.”

Overall, Boys’ Swim and Dive had a phenomenal meet and it seems their season is going to be very promising. 

Their next meet will be at the pool on Thursday, March 6 against Columbine at 4:30 pm.
