The Creative Writing Club started its much-anticipated first meeting on December 1st with a better turn-out than expected.
For any book lover or others who enjoy writing or want to improve their writing, this club is where you want to be. Each club member’s goal might be different—maybe to keep yourself dedicated to writing in your free time, improve a writing style/genre, or to become susceptible to giving or receiving feedback—but an encouraging and fun atmosphere to motivate all students nonetheless.
“It’s a way for people to become comfortable with furthering their skills in creative writing, or writing in general,” Mrs. Ambroggio comments, describing the club.
“I imagine it to be very laid back, very few events or collaborations with other clubs,”
Freshman Piper Hrouda, one of the founding club members, says, “It’s just a really cool [club] and I love it here.” The club also takes lots of input from the members, creating a fulfilling environment. Piper continues her statement; “I think it would be cool if, in the future, we could share the stories somehow,”
So while enjoyable and fun its still challanging and uncomortable enough in a way you can still stretch out your skills.
Meetings are after school on Wednesdays and sometimes Fridays in Room 1742. Google Classroom code: mc56y7u
