Generations of Students at LHS

Littleton High School has been open since 1920, and has been the home to many students. With the school being open for so long, LHS has seen its fair share of families attend. The Lions Roar Now interviewed many students about who in their family has attended LHS, and what keeps them coming back.

Many students at LHS have siblings that either currently attend, or that have graduated from the school. Some students come here simply because it’s their home school, but some were drawn in for different reasons. Senior Eva DeAntoni has an older brother that has graduated from Littleton.

DeAntoni’s family is zoned for a different school in the district, but came to LHS because they liked how everyone who comes here can really “be their own people”.

Similarly, Sophomore Lia Murillo currently has two siblings at LHS, and has had both siblings and cousins graduate from here. They keep coming back to LHS because of the good community and learning environment here.

We also have many students who decided to attend LHS because adults and their family did. Senior Carly Calhoun is a second generation student at Littleton. Her mother and older sister both graduated from here, and they were all very involved during their years here.

Calhoun’s older sister attended LHS because she “fell in love with how she could do everything she wanted.”

Junior Sierra Yongue is a third generation student, with her dad and grandmother both being alumni. Yongue’s father originally came to Littleton because of his sport, but ended up loving the atmosphere.

The start of the school year is a time where people adjust and get to know their school community. For many years, so many students have chosen to attend Littleton because of the community that surrounds them here.
