This year marks the end of Mr. Gordon’s 22 year teaching career at Littleton High School.
Mr. Gordon has taught for the past 28 years. He has taught various history classes, like geography, economics, western civilization, freshmen government, freshmen geography and ancient civilization. He also taught higher level courses like AP US history, AP European history, IB history of Europe, IB history of Europe in the middle east, and IB 20th century world history. He has also been the sponsor for Littleton’s Model UN club.
Mr. Gordon remembers his time at LHS fondly, his favorite memory being international education weeks.
“We had students present on international issues, trips they had done, or service projects. We had students question them about that and be inspired to get out into the world and do good things,” said Gordon.
Although Mr. Gordon is retiring from LHS, he plans to continue his teaching career elsewhere. Mr. Gordon has big plans for the next stage in his life and plans to continue working.
When asked what his plans are, Mr. Gordon replied, “Either teach in a private school or work in management consulting with groups that do work in education.”
Mr. Gordon has some last words for students at Littleton, “Don’t be afraid to take risks, don’t get too comfortable. Those are good ways to expand your learning. ”
Thank you and good luck, Mr. Gordon!
