Ms. Anthamatten has created a fundraiser to aid Ukrainian refugees with the help of Mr. Garner and student volunteers from Key Club and NHS. All of the proceeds are going to the nonprofit organizations World Soup Kitchen and Project CURE. Both organizations have made individual charities to help Ukrainian refugees and need all the help they can get.

Project CURE sends humanitarian aid and medical supplies into hospitals holding injured Ukrainians. “Over 120 pallets of medical supplies have been donated by UCHealth to Project C.U.R.E. as we continue to ship medical supplies to field hospitals where Ukraine’s wounded are treated. (https://projectcure.org/impact/blog/caring-for-ukraine/) In addition to Project CURE World Soup Kitchen has been providing hot meals to 5 countries (Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Hungary) who have been taking in Ukrainian refugees.
“Since the day after the attack from Russia began, WCK has been serving meals to thousands of families escaping the violence in Ukraine and people still remaining in the country each day.”(https://wck.org/news/stories-from-ukraine)

Students volunteers have been selling paper flowers during A and B lunch starting Wednesday and ending Friday after B lunch. Flowers are only one dollar and the school is only taking cash for these donations. After you purchase a flower, bring it to the librarians so it can be taped onto the columns in the library.
“I had fun creating flowers and decorating them. We made the flowers by folding the piece of paper and cutting it into a flower. The librarians will be keeping all the flowers so if you want to donate and decorate a flower head down over there.” Said junior Isaiah Jimenez.
