With the LHS school year coming to a close, let’s take a look back at the year overall and give the school a report card.
Policies: A-
The new hall pass system, which originally had very negative feedback, quickly became my favorite new policy. The random students roaming the hallway are now a thing of the past and the bathrooms are a ghost town.
Fun: B
The football games felt more free within the student section, the same with the basketball games. The pep rallies and spirit days were also more interesting and allowed for more and more events and games.
Student Experience: B
Overall, there was a large selection of classes to choose from, and the counselors were always willing to change anything on a schedule per the students’ needs. The academics were as good as possible and have something to offer for every student. The school events were above last year and there was an opportunity for every student to get involved and have fun.
Food: C-
The cafeteria food seemed to be the worst it has ever been, with that being said the free lunch is a huge positive and cannot be overlooked. The restriction of what food was allowed in the library was a huge inconvenience for those without cars, when the cafeteria was closed.
With that, the LHS 23-24 school year has come to an end, an overall positive experience.
