LHS Boys’ Swim Team beats Arapahoe for the first time in 30 years

On Tuesday, April 1st, the LHS Boys’ Swim Team did something amazing. They beat Arapahoe High School for the first time in 30 years! The final score was 105 to 71, and the whole team worked hard to earn this big win.
From the start of the meet, the Lions swam with focus, speed, and energy. They raced in many events, from short sprints to longer races, and gave their best in every one. The swimmers won several races and earned points in both individual and team relay events. Every point counted, and the Lions made sure to give it their all.
One of the best parts of the meet was how the team supported each other. When someone was about to race, their teammates lined up along the side of the pool to cheer them on. After each race, swimmers gave high fives, shared smiles, and celebrated each other’s efforts. Even when a race didn’t go perfectly, everyone stayed positive and kind.
The LHS team also showed great sportsmanship. They congratulated swimmers from Arapahoe and treated their opponents with respect. Winning the meet was exciting, but showing kindness and fairness made it even more special.
This win was more than just a high score—it was a proud moment for LHS. After 30 years without a win against Arapahoe, the Lions showed what hard work, teamwork, and support can do. The whole school is proud of them, and the team is ready for the rest of the season with confidence and joy.
