If you’re someone who uses Instagram, you’ve probably noticed an abundance of follow requests flowing into your inbox from accounts with “lhs” in their username. There have already been existing LHS Instagram accounts for sports and clubs, but these new accounts are ones never seen before. The uprising of different and fun Instagram accounts made by students at Littleton has been entertaining to experience and you never know what account might be created next.
An account with the username @lhs.bad.parking is one of the older and more popular accounts with 619 followers! This account posts pictures of, you guessed it, bad parking jobs in the LHS parking lots. This account was especially popular last year and it still occasionally posts.
Another, newer account with the username @hotpploflhs was created to uplift people at LHS. With this account, you can submit a google form with the name of someone you appreciate at Littleton and the reason why you appreciate them, and the account will post a screenshot of the google form submission. The positivity that this account promotes is awesome and refreshing to see.
The account @lhs.hallways posts pictures of the school hallways, but not just any pictures. One picture is of a stool in the middle of the hall and another is a picture of a half-eaten apple on the floor. Anyone that’s ever been in the halls of LHS knows that interesting things happen in them every day, and this account documents it all.
@fakehumansoflhs is an account inspired by a TikTok trend where you make up fake short stories about random people. This account takes videos and pictures of people around the school and makes fun and fake short stories about them. This seems a bit concerning at first but if anyone sees themself on the account and doesn’t want to be on it, they ask to be removed, so it remains unproblematic.
These are only a small fraction of all of the existing Instagram accounts created by LHS students, and several more will likely be created in the future. What will be next?
