LHS FBLA had an amazing time this year at FBLA regionals, and 27 people made it to state! In regionals, there are multiple categories and topics that students could compete in, and LHS students found success in various projects, from presentations to role-playing.
Senior Tatum Pratt is the current president of FBLA, and a district officer. She won state while being in a group with Grace Foresman and Maren Moore, and they created a presentation.

“We were really nervous, but that’s okay, because we ended up pulling it together and getting first. So it was exciting!” Pratt says.
Pratt was impressed with how well her team did, and she reflects on how they became successful.
“It was really cool to see the hard work and dedication that we put in, we put in like 35 to 40 hours in our presentation. So to see it come to life and pay off, it was really rewarding.”
Junior Annie Fox is the vice president of FBLA this year. She got first in the category Sports and Entertainment Management, in the role-playing event.
“It’s a role-play, which means it’s kind of improv, so I don’t really get to see what I’m doing beforehand. But I ended up competing really well, and it was really fun.” Fox says.
It was Sophomore Bella Foresman’s first year on FBLA, and Regionals was amazing for her! Foresman placed second in the Social Media Strategies event with her presentation. She presented in front of 3 judges, and was able to make it to state.
When asked about her first year in this club, she said, “It’s a really good environment, and I’ve learned a lot about public speaking. I am very excited about state!”
FBLA State is a 3-day conference held at the Gaylord. When they’re not competing, students will do workshops and other activities.
Good Luck to all LHS students going to FBLA State!
