Lions football takes on Lewis Palmer

On Thursday the LHS football team played a home game against Lewis Palmer High School. For most of the game, the Lions were on top. The final score was 28-6, and LHS took the win.

During the game, plays were made by Sophomores Zach Majeske and Angel Jimenez, as well as Seniors Brodie Nelson and Didier Aleman.

Sophomore Zach Majeske plays linebacker and fullback, and during the game he had first run downs, tackle recoveries, and other plays that helped to secure the win. 

Majeske said some “tackles and an interception week 1 against Jefferson” were some of his best moments from this season.

Another player that had a memorable game was Senior Brodie Nelson. During the game he played offense and running back, and scored 3 touchdowns throughout the game.

When asked for some highlights of his time on the team, Nelson said “making great friends playing the sport” has been one of his favorite parts of playing.

The team also celebrated senior night at this game. After the game was finished, the football team gathered with the poms, coaches, and family to celebrate the seniors. Seniors Didier Aleman, Oliver Claflin, Hunter Hansen, James Horton and Brodie Nelson were honored.

Overall, the game was an exciting one. Congratulations to the Lions for a great win!
