Littleton High School’s jazz ensemble played in a concert on March 14th, along with Goddard’s jazz band, in a connected concert.
The Littleton jazz set list included four songs, Sing Sang Sung, Just the Two of Us, F’nunk, and Night of the Mojito. Sing, Sang, Sung, but Gordon Goodwin is meant for a big band and features strong brass sound. Just the Two of Us, a famous blues-jazz song, featured seniors Tim Currie and Liam Kiernan. F’nunk, composed by Brian Luzietti, was the world premiere of the piece. Mr. Luzietti is a parent of a current LHS student.
The set was closed out with both ensembles playing 25 or 6 to 4 together, a jazz piece from the 70’s.
